Special Assistance Training Programme

Understanding the Needs of Special & Vulnerable Individuals

Our training covers the spectrum of disabilities, including mobility, sensory, and intellectual challenges. Participants learn to recognise and appropriately respond to trauma, grief, and diverse cultural or religious sensitivities, ensuring that all individuals receive respectful and understanding care.

Communication & Empathy Skills

We train participants in clear, respectful, and compassionate communication with victims, families, and survivors. The curriculum includes techniques for explaining procedures, setting realistic expectations, and providing meaningful emotional support during difficult times.

Procedures & Best Practices

  • Preservation and return of personal effects with established chain of custody
  • Cooperation with medical examiners, authorities, and embassies or consulates
  • Completion and management of required documentation and legal forms

Accessibility, Assistive Aids & Special Equipment

Training includes the use, handling, and transportation of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walking aids, as well as other assistive devices. Emphasis is placed on securing and protecting these items during transit to ensure their integrity and availability for those who need them.

Safety & Ethical Standards

We uphold the highest standards for dignity, privacy, and consent in every aspect of our work. Our ethical guidelines emphasise respect for remains, avoidance of any additional harm, and strict adherence to health, biosecurity, and cultural protocols at all times.

Crisis and Emergency Preparedness

Our programme features mock drills and scenario-based training exercises to prepare for disasters. Trainees learn how to rapidly mobilise family assistance centres, coordinate among stakeholders, and effectively plan logistics during emergencies.

Special Assistance Training for Responders & Airlines

We deliver specialised training modules aimed at equipping responders and airline personnel with the skills and sensitivity required during crises. Our programmes are suitable for airline and ground staff, emergency responders, and partner agencies. Each module is crafted to ensure that, when it matters most, service delivery is compassionate, professional, and inclusive.

Regulatory and International Best Practices

Regulatory Approvals and Alignment with International Standards

AES is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary approvals to ensure that its training programmes are fully aligned with internationally recognised standards and guidance. This includes adherence to the protocols and requirements established by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), as well as those set forth by national civil aviation authorities. In addition, AES training incorporates disaster victim identification procedures to maintain best practices in crisis situations.

Furthermore, AES is committed to ensuring complete compliance with all domestic laws relevant to special assistance procedures. This approach guarantees that all aspects of training and operations meet the required legal and regulatory frameworks, both locally and internationally.
