Emergency Services

Ashoka Emergency Services provides rapid, life-saving response during critical and high-pressure situations. Our mission is to ensure that help reaches those in need at the earliest possible time — because in an emergency, every second counts.

Equipped with advanced technology, modern communication systems, and a highly trained response team, AES is capable of handling a wide range of emergencies including medical crises, fires, natural disasters, industrial accidents, and rescue operations. Each unit is supported by skilled professionals who specialize in immediate assessment, on-site treatment, and coordinated evacuation to the nearest medical or safety facility.

Floods: Introduction and Management

Floods are among the most frequent and devastating natural disasters in India, impacting more than 40 million hectares of land. Causes include heavy rainfall, river overflow, dam breaches, and urban drainage failures.

Response
  • Active participation in evacuation programmes and support for rescue operations coordinated by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
  • Provision of temporary shelters and immediate medical aid to affected populations.
Recovery
  • Search and recovery of personal effects belonging to affected individuals.
  • Humanitarian support and initiatives to rebuild and restore communities.

Landslides: Introduction and Management

Landslides are triggered by geological instability, intense rainfall, deforestation, and various human activities. These events are prevalent in hilly areas and pose significant risks to both human life and infrastructure.

Response
  • Rapid evacuation from hazardous zones and implementation of search-and-rescue operations.
  • Provision of medical assistance and arrangements for temporary relocation of displaced persons.
Recovery
  • Reconstruction of areas damaged by landslides.
  • Search and recovery for personal effects.
  • Humanitarian support and community rebuilding efforts.

Cyclones: Introduction and Management

Cyclones are severe storms characterised by high-speed winds and heavy rainfall, predominantly affecting coastal regions. India’s extensive coastline makes it highly susceptible to tropical cyclones.

Response
  • Activation of responders for evacuation and relief efforts.
  • Deployment of emergency services and distribution of relief materials to those in need.
Recovery
  • Restoration of essential services such as electricity, water supply, and communication networks.
  • Search and recovery of personal effects.
  • Humanitarian support and community rebuilding initiatives.

Storm Surges: Introduction and Management

Storm surges are abnormal increases in sea level caused by cyclonic winds, usually accompanying cyclones. These surges lead to coastal flooding and erosion, posing threats to lives and property.

Response
  • Prompt evacuation of coastal populations at risk.
  • Establishment of emergency shelters and provision of medical assistance.
Recovery
  • Rehabilitation of communities affected by storm surges.
  • Repair of damaged infrastructure and restoration of livelihoods.
  • Search and recovery for personal effects.
  • Humanitarian support and community rebuilding activities.

Integrated Disaster Recovery Approach

Effective disaster recovery relies on coordination among national agencies such as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), NDRF, state disaster management authorities, and local governments. The involvement of communities, utilisation of technology, and commitment to sustainable development are essential to building resilience against future disasters. AES—Ashoka Emergency Services—expresses its intention to seek affiliation and operate under the guidance of these agencies.
